Why should you be concerned about weight distribution?
When towing a heavy load with a standard ballmount, the majority of the weight finds itself on the tongue of the trailer and eventually rests onto the towing vehicle, this weight is your "tongue weight". Having too much tongue weight in relation to gross trailer weight can cause the back end of the vehicle to lower and the front end of the vehicle to raise. If you find your vehicle in this position, then you need a weight distribution hitch otherwise you'll lose braking traction, steering control, and increase trailer sway.
